Camino Restaurant draws its inspiration from the timeless cuisines of Old World Europe. Boasting Downtown Charlottesville's only wood-fired grill, Camino combines the rustic cooking techniques of the south of Spain, Italy, and France, complemented by a sophisticated yet comfortable dining experience.
Chef Matt Turner's approach to Camino's cuisine is focused and knowledgeable, sophisticated and respectful of tradition while remaining naturally progressive. The wood grill and handmade pastas are cornerstones of the cuisine, while sourcing local, organic, and/or heirloom products further the authenticity of the experience.
Owner Drew Hart, a well-travelled, admitted Francophile, has compiled an ever-changing wine list that represents the regions and the cuisine. Camino has a large by-the-glass wine list.
